Rhonda F. Blades, LPN
A healthcare professional for over 30 years. with a passion for educating others and creating inclusive spaces. Rhonda is the engine that started TAVI and she also serves as the Instructor for the CNA class. Rhonda has spent her life teaching and taking care of family, friends and the community. Rhonda currently teaches the CNA course and is planning to expand for other certifications in the future.

Shamika S. Carter BSN RN, AMB-BC, GERO-BC
​Shamika S. Carter is a passionate gerontological nurse from Indianapolis, dedicated to elder care. Raised in a Christian family, her values of faith and service guided her career. After completing CNA training, she earned a degree in Public Health from IUPUI and an Accelerated Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Marian University. Shamika’s career includes roles at the VA Medical Center Indianapolis in Patient Care Services and Geriatric Primary Care. Certified in Gerontological and Ambulatory Care Nursing, she is committed to advocating for seniors. Inspired by caring for her grandmother, Shamika’s career centers on compassionate care for the elderly.​

TAVI was founded by a dedicated servant of the medical community with over 30 years of medical experience and she herself began as a CNA, her hard work and dedication to her patients has led her down this path of giving others the opportunities that she was given. TAVI seeks to empower, educate and promote healthy life practices through in class education and clinical experiences.
